The Qur’an (61:6; 7:157) says that the coming of Muhammad was prophesied in the Bible, thus Muslims are forced to search the Bible to find these prophecies. However, Muslims say the Bible is corrupt (Though the Qur’an refutes that claim in 3:3 and others – See this article, this and this), yet they are using it to justify Islam whenever it suits them. They have tried to use many of these prophecies. Here are some of those: Deuteronomy 18:18, Isaiah 29.12, Isaiah 42:1, Psalm 1, John 14:16-17, 26; and John 15.26; but so far these passages only prove Muhammad to be a false prophet.
So let’s see if they finally found what they’ve been looking for in this one from Song of Solomon 5:16:
His mouth is most sweet: yea, he is altogether lovely (Hebrew, מַחְמַד – Machmâd). This is my beloved, and this is my friend, O daughters of Jerusalem. – Song of Solomon 5:16
It’s odd though, that Muslims call Song of Solomon a pornographic book in the Bible; yet use it as a prophecy to support the coming of Muhammad.
Song of Solomon is a book about Solomon and his wife complementing each other’s beauty. 5:16 is Solomon’s wife’s words; if therefore, this is about the coming of Muhammad, do Muslims accept Solomon’s wife as a prophetess since she prophesied about Muhammad? If so, then why the Qur’an never mentioned her, since clearly, it’s about Muhammad, right?
It’s clear that, in this verse, she was talking to the ‘daughters of Jerusalem’. In the next verse, they replied to her,
Whither is thy beloved gone, O thou fairest among women? whither is thy beloved turned aside? that we may seek him with thee. – Song of Solomon 6:1
If this ‘beloved’ was Muhammad; was he there during Solomon’s time? Clearly the daughters of Jerusalem implied this and Solomon’s wife actually confirmed that, indeed, he (the beloved) was there. In reply to their question, she said:
My beloved is gone down into his garden, to the beds of spices, to feed in the gardens, and to gather lilies. – Song of Solomon 6:2
If this really was about Muhammad, was Muhammad Solomon’s wife’s husband, making him Solomon? This is getting very weird and ridiculous!
As we see, this ‘beloved’ could never be Muhammad when we read 5:16 in its context. But for arguments’ sake, let’s assume that this verse actually talks about Muhammad and see how it’s going to not only proves Muhammad to be a false prophet but also backfires at them when applying the same reasoning on Islam.
If it really is about Muhammad then he is a mess, there’s no way that he was a true prophet; because the same word is used elsewhere in the Bible too, which means it’s what the Bible says about Muhammad too! They can’t just pick and choose what they want, we need to be consistent.
Consider these passages where the same word ‘מַחְמַד (Machmâd)’ is used:
1 – Is Muhammad Ezekiel’s wife whom God is about to kill?
Son of man, behold, I take away from thee the desire (מַחְמַד, Machmâd) of thine eyes with a stroke: yet neither shalt thou mourn nor weep, neither shall thy tears run down. – Ezekiel 24:16
In context, the word desire (מַחְמַד, Machmâd) here refers to Ezekiel’s wife. Was Muhammad Ezekiel’s wife, who existed during Ezekiel’s day whom God eventually killed? 🙂 So was Muhammad gay or was he a woman?
2 – Is God going to desecrate Muhammad?
Say to the house of Israel, ‘this is what the sovereign Lord says: Realize I am about to desecrate my sanctuary – the source of your confident pride, the object in which your eyes delight (מַחְמַד, Machmâd), and your life’s passion. Your very own sons and daughters whom you have left behind will die by the sword. – Ezekiel 24:21
3- Is Muhammad, valuables [i.e. jewelleries, money…] to be carried away from the Israelites’ houses?
But now at this time tomorrow I will send my servants to you and they will search through your palace and your servants’ houses. They will carry away all your valuables (מַחְמַד, Machmâd) – 1 Kings 20:6
4 – Is Muhammad valuable items destroyed by fire?
They burned down the Lord’s temple and tore down the wall of Jerusalem. They burned all its fortified buildings and destroyed its entire valuable (מַחְמַד, Machmâd) items. – 2 Chronicles 36:19
5 – Is Muhammad a city (Jerusalem) that becomes a desert?
Your chosen (מַחְמַד, Machmâd) cities have become a desert; Zion has become a desert, Jerusalem is a desolate ruin. – Isaiah 64:10
Muslims insist that Song of Solomon (5:16) is a prophecy about Muhammad because this particular Hebrew word, מַחְמַד, Machmâd, sounds like Muhammad or Ahmed. Though it sounds like Muhammad, it has nothing to do with him. I challenge any Muslim to read Song of Solomon from the Arabic Bible, and tell me if it talks about their false prophet.
There’s nothing prophetic in Song of Solomon. It’s a book about Solomon and his wife complementing each other’s beauty.
Now, if we have to accept the Muslims reasoning then we ask them to be consistent because there is an Hebrew word that sounds exactly like the Arabic word ‘Akbar’. Muslims love to shout “AllahuAkbar”, which means Allah is great when praising their god.
In Hebrew, however, Akbar (עכבּר) means mouse, mice, or rat; therefore every time Muslims shout AllahuAkbar, we have to agree that they are shouting, Allah is rat!?
Here are some of the verses where the word ‘akbar’ is used in the Bible:
Now this is what is unclean to you among the swarming things that swarm on the land: the rat (Akbar, עכבּר), the mouse, the large lizard of any kind, – Leviticus 11:29
6:4 They inquired, “What is the guilt offering that we should send to him?” They replied, “The Philistine leaders number five. So send five gold sores and five gold mice (Akbar, עכבּר), for it is the same plague that has afflicted both you and your leaders. 6:5 You should make images of the sores and images of the mice (Akbar, עכבּר) that are destroying the land. You should honor the God of Israel. Perhaps he will release his grip on you, your gods, and your land…6:11 They put the ark of the Lord on the cart, along with the chest, the gold mice (Akbar, עכבּר), and the images of the sores…6:19 But the Lord struck down some of the people of Beth Shemesh because they had looked into the ark of the Lord; he struck down 50,070 of the men. The people grieved because the Lord had struck the people with a hard blow. – 1Samuel 6:4-19
As for those who consecrate and ritually purify themselves so they can follow their leader and worship in the sacred orchards, those who eat the flesh of pigs and other disgusting creatures, like mice (Akbar, עכבּר) they will all be destroyed together,” says the Lord. – Isaiah 66:17
Do Muslims therefore agree, that every time they shout ‘AllahuAkbar’, they actually are saying ‘Allah is rat’? If not, then I suggest them to stop using Song of Solomon to prove their case.
So what conclusion we have here? If we have to follow the Muslims’ reasoning then not only is Allah a rat but Yahweh God of the Bible is going to destroy Muhammad, which proves that he is a false prophet and his god a rat.
Come to Christ, O Muslims! Muhammad was a false prophet. Accept what Jesus did for you today, He died to save you. Follow this link.
